What does a subscription add?
Reading, highlights, search, listening with the system voice, and the daily verse notification are free. While you use the app for free, a banner ad is shown at the bottom of the screen. There are two subscriptions:
- Pro — no ads, one AI voice (Jooho), background playback and lock-screen controls
- Premium — everything in Pro, plus all AI voices (Jooho, Seungah, Morgan, Eunbin)
Each is available monthly or yearly; prices are shown in the App Store or Google Play. Your first subscription starts with a 1-week free trial; when it ends, the paid subscription starts automatically, so cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you don’t want to continue. Subscriptions are covered by Apple’s standard Terms of Use (EULA) and, on Android, also by the Google Play Terms of Service.
How do I manage, cancel, or restore a subscription?
- iPhone and iPad: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → 개역한글 성경 (Apple Support)
- Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (Google Play Help)
After you cancel, your benefits last until the end of the current billing period. If you changed devices, or still see ads after subscribing, tap 설정 (Settings) → 구독 (Subscription) → 구매내역 복구 (Restore purchases) in the app. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple and Google — request a refund from Apple · Google Play refund policies
AI narration won’t play.
AI narration is downloaded over the internet. Verses you have played once are saved on your device and play offline after that.
- Check your internet connection and restart the app.
- Clear the saved audio: 설정 (Settings) → 음성 (Voices) → 저장된 음성 (Saved audio) → 캐시 삭제 (Clear cache), then play again.
- If it still fails, email us the verse that won’t play (for example, Genesis 1:1).
Where are my highlights and reading history kept?
Highlights, your last reading position, text size and color settings, notification settings, and your reading streak are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers. There is no account, so nothing syncs between devices, and deleting the app deletes this data.
On Android, if device backup is turned on, this data may be included in your device backup in your Google account and restored when you reinstall the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I get the daily verse notification?
In 설정 (Settings) → 알림 (Notifications) → 오늘의 말씀 (Daily verse), turn on ‘말씀 받기’ (receive a verse) and choose ‘받을 시간’ (the time). The app asks for notification permission the first time. You can also mix your own highlighted verses into the 286 selected verses.
Notifications are scheduled on your device; they are not push messages from a server.
Where does the Bible text come from?
The app contains the text of 「성경전서 개역한글판」 (Korean Revised Version), published in 1961 by the Korean Bible Society (대한성서공회). The economic copyright in this text expired at the end of 2011; the source is credited in the app and on this page. Section headings and footnotes are not included; the Psalm titles, which are part of the text, are kept.
This is an independent app made by Innomote LLC. It is not made or endorsed by the Korean Bible Society.
