KJV Bible: Listen & Read

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026

At a glance

  • There is no account or sign-in. We don’t ask for or collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
  • Highlights, your reading position, and settings stay on your device and are never sent to our servers.
  • The app contacts our server only to play a natural voice. The request contains only the verse, the voice, and the app version, platform, and Bible edition.
  • While you use the app for free, it shows Google AdMob ads, and Google may collect device information for advertising.
  • Payments are handled by Apple and Google; we never receive your payment information.

1. Who we are

KJV Bible: Listen & Read (“the app”) is developed and operated by Innomote LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the app on iPhone, iPad, and Android. Contact: support@innomote.com

2. Information we don’t collect

We don’t ask for or collect:

  • your name, email address, phone number, or other identifying information;
  • your Apple ID, iCloud, or Google account information;
  • location (GPS), contacts, photos, camera, or microphone;
  • what you read, highlight, or search for — this doesn’t leave your device (section 6; for natural-voice requests, see section 3).

The app has no account system, and we have not added any analytics or crash-reporting tools. What the advertising SDK collects is described in section 4. If you allow sharing with app developers in your device settings, Apple or Google may give us crash reports and statistics that they collect under their own policies; we use them only to fix problems.

3. Natural-voice playback

When you play a verse with a natural voice, the app sends our server (running on Cloudflare Workers):

  • the verse and the voice you chose (for example, Genesis 1:1 read by Samuel);
  • the app version and build number, the platform (iOS or Android), and the Bible edition — used only to show an update notice to outdated versions.

The server returns a short-lived signed link to that audio file in Cloudflare R2, and the app downloads the file from it. The request contains no name, account, or device identifier, and we don’t link requests to any person or build user profiles. Like any internet service, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your device’s IP address when the app connects, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Downloaded audio is kept on your device so it can be replayed (the voice cache), and you can clear it in the app’s Settings at any time. Listening with your phone’s built-in voice uses your device’s speech feature and does not go through our server.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you don’t have a subscription, a Google AdMob banner ad is shown at the bottom of the screen. When the day’s free chapters of the natural voice are used up, the app also offers a short rewarded ad that adds 3 more chapters; it plays only if you choose to watch it, up to 3 times a day. For this, the app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK, which starts after the app opens, once the ad-consent check described below (and, on iPhone and iPad, the tracking question) is done. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

  • an advertising identifier — on iPhone and iPad, the IDFA if you allowed tracking; on Android, the advertising ID;
  • your IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
  • device and app information such as device model, OS version, and language;
  • ad interactions such as impressions and taps;
  • diagnostic information about the SDK, such as crash logs and performance data.

On iPhone and iPad, the app asks whether to allow tracking when you first open it; you can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (the Ads menu, usually under Privacy or Google). Where the law requires consent, such as in the European Economic Area and the UK, the app shows Google’s consent form (User Messaging Platform), and you can change your choice later in the app under Settings → About → Privacy options.

For how Google handles this information, see the Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses information for advertising, how Google uses information from apps that use its services, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosures (iOS · Android). Subscribers don’t see ads.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) on iPhone and iPad, and by Google (Google Play Billing) on Android. We never receive your payment method, billing address, Apple ID, or Google account information. The app checks with Apple or Google which subscription is active, to decide whether to show ads and which voices and features you can use; this purchase information is not sent to our server. Payment, renewal, and refund information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy or the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Information stored on your device

The following is stored only on your device and is not sent to us:

  • highlights (verse location, color, and the highlighted text), where you stopped reading or listening, and the chapters you read recently;
  • settings such as text size, appearance, red letters and supplied words, playback speed, chapter repeat, and voice choice;
  • Verse of the Day settings and your reading streak;
  • how many free natural-voice chapters and rewarded ads you have used today, so the daily limit works without an account;
  • natural-voice audio files you have played (the voice cache).

Deleting the app deletes this information. Device backups may include it: on Android, if Google backup is on, it may be restored when you reinstall the app; on iPhone and iPad, a full device backup to iCloud or a computer includes it and brings it back when that backup is restored. These backups are managed in your Apple or Google account or on your computer, and we cannot access them.

7. Notifications

Verse of the Day notifications are scheduled on your device, only if you turn them on. We don’t use a push-notification server and collect no information for notifications.

8. Third-party services

  • Google AdMob · User Messaging Platform — ads and ad consent. Privacy policy
  • Apple App Store (StoreKit) — subscription billing on iPhone and iPad. Privacy policy
  • Google Play Billing — subscription billing on Android. Privacy policy
  • Cloudflare (Workers · R2) — storing and delivering the natural-voice audio. Privacy policy

We don’t sell personal information for money, and we don’t share information with any third party other than these services. When the free version shows personalized ads, Google may use your device’s advertising identifier and the other information in section 4; some US state privacy laws, such as California’s, treat this as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising. Section 11 explains how to opt out.

9. Children’s privacy

The app is made for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t ask anyone for personal information, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. Free use does show Google ads, limited to content rated for general audiences (section 4). If you believe information about your child has been collected, please contact support@innomote.com.

10. Retention and deletion

Our server keeps no accounts or per-user records, so we hold no personal information to keep or delete. Information on your device is removed when you delete it in the app (deleting highlights, clearing the voice cache) or delete the app. Google, Apple, and Cloudflare keep the information they process according to their own policies.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, or under US state laws such as the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we don’t hold information that identifies you, there is usually nothing on our side to act on, but we will answer any request sent to support@innomote.com, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.

Opting out of targeted advertising (US states)

To opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising, don’t allow tracking on iPhone and iPad (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking), or delete your advertising ID on Android (the Ads menu in your device settings). Ads may then still appear, but they won’t be personalized with your advertising ID. A subscription removes ads entirely.

European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom

  • Controller: Innomote LLC, support@innomote.com.
  • Legal bases: your consent for personalized advertising, asked through Google’s consent message (you can withdraw it at any time in the app’s Settings → About → Privacy options); our legitimate interests in delivering the natural-voice audio, keeping the service secure, and fixing problems; and, for subscriptions, the contract you make through Apple or Google.
  • International transfers: Google and Cloudflare may process information in the United States and other countries, under the safeguards they provide, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Complaints: you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live or work.

12. Security

The app talks to our server only over HTTPS (TLS). The server keeps no user accounts or purchase records. The audio files are stored in Cloudflare R2, and the app fetches them only through links signed by our server.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and we will mention significant changes in the app’s release notes.
